A New Rednesday Treasure

I just acquired a new little treasure to add to my collection of vintage picnic tins!
(Thanks to the leftover money on that visa gift card I won back before school started!)

And it's red!  And, I've never seen one like it before!

Perfect for Rednesday!

It says AHP on the lid and Decoware on the bottom.

The inside is in really excellent condition.

See?

Why, what's this?

Oh it's a little project I've been working on.
(I know, I'm the worst tease!)

Curious?
Well, you'll just have to go visit Cindy at Rick Rack and Gingham pretty soon.
(Shame on me - more teasing - but I'm just so doggone good at it!)

Thanks for buzzing in
and
of course
I'm linking to Rednesday over at It's a Very Cherry World!

Maybe we can get together soon for a little crafting and coffee!
Wouldn't that be fun?

  4. That a sweet one!! I plan on collecting these one day, too! I've only seen horribly rusted ones around here. I know, some girls like rust but not me! ♥

  6. A beautiful vintage picnic tin. Your right, I have never seen one quite like this before. I'm used to seeing the more reddish black plaid types. Love the one you picked up!

  7. If I come over for a little crafting and coffee, I'm leaving with that basket! I've never seen that one either, and I thought I had pretty much all of the patterns. Adding this one to my must-have list!
    Happy REDnesday!

  8. When are you going to quit teasing us and satisfy our curiosity?

    DITTY IN RED

    Just a pinch of scarlet
    To liven up the place;
    Just a hint of ruby
    Brushed upon your face;
    Just a bit of cherry
    Dancing round your toes;
    Just some sanguine colors—
    That’s the way it goes!

  10. That is a GREAT basket! I have never seen one like it, either.

    Tell Carol that if she takes off with that basket, I will be over to her house to grab it for myself.

  15. Thats so cute! I love little boxes. Here in Savannah, down in City Market we have a candy store that sells little metal lunch boxes- everything from Hello Kitty to Pop-eye...
    I am always threatening to buy one to use as a purse:)

  16. that is ADORABLE and in such fantastic shape! I have a metal picnic basket that I like to display in the summer time, but its definitely more rusty and dusty. but thats ok, gives it character. :)

    Thanks for sharing your red delights! Happy Rednesday!
