I love candles at Christmas time.
There's just something about them that make my heart all melty and gooey. They make you feel the love in a home.
I was just reading Susan Branch's blog (Goodness, I love that girl!) and she loves candles at Christmas too, so I know I'm in good company.
One of my favorite spots is the windowsill above our kitchen sink.
I found these gingerbread candle jars several years ago in the Martha Stewart line at KMart. When the candles burned down, I couldn't bear to part with these so I know put other candles in there. (Yes, these are a bit too tall, but I just love the stripes glowing through the white polka dots.
Everything feels cozy and warm in our kitchen-----
Until I turn around--------
And it's a Christmas Dishapalooza!
We brought in all the holiday dishes from the garage. They're just hanging out until it's their turn in the "spa."
Just a few more minutes and it will be time for another load...er...I mean treatment.
Hope your holiday preparations are going well.
Buzzingly,
Love the gingerbread candles... I miss Martha at Kmart. I'll be honest, it was the only reason I went there and I looked forward to seeing her "lines" each Christmas... including wrapping paper :(
ReplyDeleteI used to have some of the tree dishes... I think mine came from Target perhaps? Christmas dishes are the one thing I DON'T have a collection of... hmmmm, maybe it's time to change that up :)

Just look at all of those fantastic dishes! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI love candles too ~ I am hooked on the flameless sensored ones.. that I don't have to turn on and off ( or blow out) ~ they are great!
Happy Sunday
Well, I am both a candle fan and a gingerbread fan so your candles really got my attention.
ReplyDeleteCHRISTmas Blessings!
Gail
Hope your dishes enjoy their time at the spa! :)
ReplyDeleteYour so funny!! (The "spa"-love it!)
ReplyDeleteI also really enjoy my candles this time of year, and your gingerbread holders are too cute!
LOL! I love your sweet little candle jars and your mound of dishes even looks pretty. But I like your description of them going to the spa! :)
ReplyDeleteWish I could come, I need a pedi! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I have go to remember that....the spa for dishes....that is adorable!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you stopped by! I feel the same about candles...so much so that I burn them every night all yr round. So cozy and comforting. I try to stock up on them when on sale and make sure to get LEAD FREE wicks. Isn't fun to get out the Christmas dishes? I just did that too and put my regular everyday dishes away until January 6, the 12th Day Of Christmas. MERRY Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteLove those gingerbread candles! I wouldn't be able to part with them, either. You are really funny with the spa treatment for your dishes!
ReplyDeleteThis post made me smile! I love candles on my kitchen sink window sill too! Some of my Christmas dishes need a "spa" treatment too! LOL!!! Happy to have stopped by today! Have a lovely week.
