It was a sad day at Sweet Bee Cottage recently.
What could have happened you ask?
My latte milk steaming pitcher lost its handle! Why it was dangerous to use! The Bees all could have been burned! And you all know it's even more dangerous if I don't get my daily latte! (Just ask Worker Bee, he'll verify.)
Now I could have used a pyrex measuring cup, but how cute is that? Functional yes, but not cottage cute.
In times of a crisis like this, I start to just buzz around the house, looking for some sort of inspiration. And my eyes alighted on this vintage milk jug.
Voila!
It's almost a perfect fit! And isn't it cute???
I even remembered another milk jug that I thought would be perfect.
And then another one....
I could maybe go on and on with this for a long time! Who knew I had so many make do milk steaming pitchers?
I also started using a vintage sugar bowl to keep my latte stirring spoons in.
Just keeping it all cottage cute!
And the best part? I didn't spend a cent!
(Well today at least, I did buy those pitchers at some point in time.)
So what kind of coffee shop drink do you desire?
I promise it will be Fresh!
You can use a different pitcher everyday!! Love your sugar bowl!

Love the spoons! Where did you find them?

Okay, seriously the "fresh" pitcher is the cutest thing EVAH!! Glad that you will be able to get your latte again. Wouldn't want to see anyone get hurt. :)
ReplyDeleteblessings to you.
WOW my stainless milk pitcher has been well used too (every day for the last 12 years or so) but it still has it's handle... of course I've worn out 4 espresso makers and am on my 5th so I guess it's a good thing about the pitcher ;)
ReplyDeleteI never thought of using something cute for my steaming pitcher...but I do keep my espresso maker "stuff" in a cute green depression glass container too!

PS is that a martha stewart "coffee" cannister I spy?
I love the pitchers you chose but my favourite would have to be the blue and white one! I also love those cute spoons!
ReplyDeleteIf you ever feel like linking up to another party I host a Say G'day Saturday party every weekend and I would be so thrilled if you could join in!
Best wishes,

I'd love a vanilla latte, please! We wore out one of those expensive automatic coffee machines in two years, so we went back to a drip machine. Just not the same. Love all your steamed milk pitcher options.
ReplyDeleteLove your creative thinking!! And that gorgeous green vintage sugar bowl! Such prettiness!! Happy Memorial Day weekend!! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteSorry your handle broke! I don't drink coffee but can I come and play in your kitchen? You have the cutest things. I'll just bring my Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Clever and cute
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute it almost makes me want to drink coffee. lol! Sorry to say, Diet Coke is my drink of choice. I adore all of your milk jugs. What a darling collection. The green sugar bowl, now there's something I would snag in a big hurry. I had a set of spoons like that in the playhouse. No playhouse here yet, so being stored downstairs. Thanks so much for sharing with Share Your Cup. Ya I know, Share Your Cup and I don't drink coffee? Well, I am Mrs. Olson. You are probably too young to remember the Folgers commercials with cute Mrs. Olson.

I have to tell you, I say the Beardo ad and it made me laugh. My 2 year old grandson got one for his birthday that his other grandmother made. She made it for him so he would look like daddy. He threw a fit and would not let us put it on. She finally got it on for one second and it was hilarious!

ReplyDeleteYou're a pitcher collector and you didn't even know it! Love how you "make do", especially when you use that gorgeous green sugar bowl to hold your stirrers. And I'm so glad that no Bees were burnt in the making of this post!
ReplyDeleteHee hee! That is just so great!~ I love the pitchers you have, what a great assortment. And that little green glass sugar bowl with red checkered spoons! Love it! My little pot on my espresso maker broke and I haven't used it since! I better start looking for something vintage to use!
