I Better Learn How to Sew...

Well Baby Bee and I made it to the big city this afternoon and found some fun fabrics to use for our bunting and maybe for some pillows too.  I couldn't wait until tomorrow and good light - I had to show you tonight!
We have seven patterns to choose from.
Do you see that cute aqua and red/pink floral?  That's a Lori Holt pattern!  Have you ever visited with her?  She has the most fun blog and she is uber talented!
We're going to use red bias tape.  And isn't that cherry fabric cute?  Had to include that for my love of Mary Engelbreit!
And red polka dots!  Who can resist that?
But I think this one is my favorite.  Very vintage looking!

I just think they are going to look so fun together with all of our other clubhouse projects!

Now I just need to figure out how to sew this all together OR maybe I could fly Amy down from Into Vintage to sew it for me.  I'd give her lots of coffee!!!

Thanks for buzzing by for a visit!  Supposed to hit 100ยบ here tomorrow so I'll have Ginger Peach Iced Tea for you and me to share.

  1. You selected a lovely array of patterns that mix well together! I think some pillow shams with some of the fabrics would be adorable! I did a short tut on making simple slip-on pillow shams (Sew Simple/Sept. 2011), just fyi. A craft apron would also be just the cutest made from these fabrics~ Gosh...so many ideas. :)
    Have fun,
    Shawn

  3. Your bunting will look fabulous! You could just cut with pinking shears or scalloping shears, you know, but sewing won't be too difficult either.

The rest are beautiful too !! Would make a gorgeous quilt, apron, skirt, tablecloth , etc. My mind could go on and on when it comes to fabric!! Blessings to you and your hive! ~~~Annabell :)
