However Did We Shop Before the Internet?

Most of my adult life I have lived with the internet.  I can still vividly remember the first time my husband and I ventured into eWorld with our brand new Apple Performa computer in 1995.  We were both so nervous about hitting that button that would actually take the internet.

And just look at us now.  Blogging and shopping all over the world!

And now I have to confess.  I've been a bit busy doing a bit of shopping on that wonderful old internet.

Want to see some things in my virtual shopping cart?
I found this rug at Home Decorators.  It's an indoor/outdoor rug.  In a recent issue of HGTV magazine (which.....should I confess this......I think I might like better than the network) it mentioned this rug and how great it was.  Right now an 8 foot by 8 foot rug is sitting in my shopping cart.  Will I push that checkout button?  Thinking about it.  I'll let you know.....soon.

And then I found this great print over at PB Teen.
(Is it wrong to love a lot of the things in both PB Teen and PB Kids catalogs?  I am "technically" a grown up, you know.  But you don't disapprove, do you?)

Have you met Katie Daisy yet?
What are you waiting for?

Head on over to her etsy shop to see cards and prints of her bright, cheerful, and whimsical art!
(I'll wait here until you get back.  Yes, I'll wait for as long as it takes.  Yes, you might be awhile, but I'll still be here.)

You can find her on her own website too.....Katie Daisy.

  She makes me smile.

So do you!

Thanks for buzzing along with me.
P.S. We'll have to see if any of these make it home to Sweet Bee Cottage.

  1. If I didn't have the internet to shop on I would not shop...we have no retail in our town and I have to drive 100 miles for anything cute...I would much rather shop from my home..lots of fun!

  2. Interweb (am my hubby calls it) is just the best. My first purchase was kind of scarry, not seeing where your money goes. I love the rug.... GET IT.
    blessings to you

  3. I love that Etsy shop, so happy and fun. Online shopping is definitely a blessing, especially for people like me who don't like to shop in the stores!

  4. I love Internet shopping. It's a sport....waiting until there's a sale, holding off until shipping is cheap or, better yet, free. We have no decent scrapbook stores here anymore so I get my supplies on-line. Etsy, eBay, love them both.
Katie Daisy's art is happy! Love the's happy, too.

  5. Virtual yumminess!! I blogged about ya today.

I keep thinking about ya at World Market because of some bee and honey measuring cup sets they have.

  6. Do you have Pay Pal. Oh that makes it so easy. I can order something so quickly that my husband can't even tell. It's dangerous. If you don't have it maybe you shouldn't get it. I do like Katy's site.

  7. GET THE RUG! Before the internet, I shopped from catalogs and I still love to browse them. I will have to check out that Etsy shop!

  8. Love shopping on the internet! A great way to avoid the crowds!!

  9. I love shopping this way as well and now you have given me a few stores to visit! Have a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for buzzing by and taking time to leave me a little note. I always enjoy hearing from my friends.
