Baby Bee Has a Broken Wing

I think my Baby Bee thought she could fly - or at least swing on the monkey bars like - uh oh - I'm going to date myself - Mary Lou Retton.  On Friday at school, Baby Bee fell off the monkey bars and landed hard enough to give her left wrist a buckle fracture.  She asked a friend to push her really hard and that was it - the ground came up and hit her.

(This is actually the second time she has broken this wrist in the same way - the last time it was MY FAULT for pushing her too hard.)

Good thing it's her left wing and she's right winged.  She has state testing this week!  (You know, as a teacher, I know what a big deal that is.)
She did get a little manicure to cheer her up.

Luckily, she is just in a splint, not a cast this time.  She should be good as new in about three weeks.  We all are so grateful it's not worse.

So she's needing a bit more help to get things done (which seriously cuts into my blogging time) so if you don't see me buzzing around much, you know why.

Thank you for buzzin' by!

  8. What a bummer... I guess the silver lining is no cast! My husband broke his wrist and was casted for 6 months! We went through many plastic bags for showers :(

Hope she's feeling better and back to her usual busy bee self quickly!

  10. Bless her heart! I'll say a prayer for her for quick healing. Three weeks isn't too long and with just a splint it won't be so bad.
