My new kitchen garden is growing bountifully. Uh oh, did I just count my chickens before they hatched or harvest my bushels before they even bear veggies? Ooooh, my fingers are crossed.
But I just can't help but dream of bushels of tomatoes and peppers, scads of squash, and corn on the cob grown by our very own hands.
My roses are just about done for. Need to get out and deadhead them.
This is my Evelyn rose. Smells so heavenly.
Go to it little ladybug - get those aphids.
One more gratuitous rose shot.

Gorgeous garden shots! Evelyn is one of my very favorite English roses...I have 3 of her! (I've got about 100 David Austen roses--greedy, wasn't I?!) I love them all, but Evelyn is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHope your kitchen garden is as bountiful as it looks like it will be!

Your gardens are coming along so nicely. Bravo to you!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a vegetable garden but we just don't have a good place for one. Thank goodness people bring stuff to my husband at work from their gardens. Impressing the boss!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses. Ours are just leafing out. We were going to have some veggies this year, but then the hubs got a new horse. There goes the garden plot. All that manure going to "waste". Sorry, couldn't help it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking garden! I just did a post about mine :). Your flowers are beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteOh, that rose is just devine!

ReplyDeleteYour roses are so pretty! I am anxious to garden, but we have not done too much yet because it's been so cold. It has felt much more like winter than spring! I'll just have to enjoy your garden.

Your roses are beautiful! I love this time of year when everything looks it's best. We are still planting our tomatoes and vegetables.

I linked to the same party.
You have some gorgeous roses! My roses have not begun to bud even. We are so behind everyone else here in the North. Thank you for visiting my blog today and leaving a sweet comment about my burlap and ruffles. Covering the footstool was very easy. There is a round pillow on the top under the slipcover, that makes it very comfortable to use.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy S
It's already getting so hot and dry here that my garden is beginning to look wilted. I'm afraid we are in for a long summer. That after a severe winter is going to make gardening a challenge.
ReplyDeleteBut my bluebonnets were gorgeous, and my knockout roses are in full bloom. My lavender is blooming, geraniums are full of color and spunk so all is not in vain. :-)
oh what a lovely blog you have. I enjoy seeing your garden and your roses, how lucky to live in beautiful California, gardening is good in that climate. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments I am glad to know that the chalkboard paint will last outdoors. I am a new follower. Smiles, Marla
ReplyDeleteI just planted green beans on Saturday. I'm so late this year. I do have a couple of tomato plants that I need to get planted as well. My roses haven't bloomed yet as hubby was late in cutting them back. But they now are starting to bud. Can't wait till them bloom.
