The first crop is in!
Our French Blush Radishes are all harvested!
Aren't they pretty?
I just love what Baby Bee said when we went to harvest them....
"I can't believe they actually grew in our garden!"
My thoughts exactly!
"Hmmmm....." she continued. "They taste like the garden. Like dirt."
And then, "Yow! Those are spicy!"
"Let's have them for dinner tonight."
So tonight we will enjoy the fruits of our labor - yeah, I know - little fruits!
This is part of the reason I wanted to have a kitchen garden. I wanted my daughter to know where her food comes from. I wanted her to have this experience.
Thanks for coming by and I think we have baby tomatoes! I'm so excited!
How is your garden coming along?
That's very exciting! Little radishes are so pretty. The color is beautiful. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful to have your own garden! I love to go in the garden and pick fresh veggies. We have little tomatoes, peppers, okra, squash, zuchinni, cucumbers, pumpkins, gourds and sunflowers planted. I love to watch the garden grow. We are having a nice rain today just what our garden needed. Oh I forgot we have strawberries too!

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you're harvesting already! Your radishes are so cute. Baby Bee will probably think this is gross, but I love radish sandwiches! Slice the radishes, slap some mayo on the bread. Yum! It's so great that you're including BB in the whole process. A future gardener, for sure!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
