The Thrifty Buzz.......

I wish I could somehow wake myself up on Saturday mornings for some yard saling.  Although I can wake up early, I just can't seem to get much further than the latte machine and the newspaper so I'm afraid my treasures primarily come from thrift shops or my local favorite consignment store.

Here are a few recent finds.

One of my teaching buddies retired this year after 36 year of teaching and she collects hammered aluminum.  I couldn't believe it - I found an ice bucket in good condition to give her.  I filled it with some champagne and some other fun things.
The next day I found this sweet tray so I'm giving her that too.
Aren't the details extraordinary?
I've found a new favorite thrift store in the little town just south of us.  I popped in there Friday afternoon to see what was new.  I only found one little treasure, but oh I love it.
I'll be using it on my dresser to hold earrings or bracelets or other jewelry.  Isn't it sweet?
Not a scratch on it.  Blue's my favorite color you know - although if you came to my house you'd probably think my favorite color is red or green.

Well thank you so much for popping in to see my little thrifty treasures.  This is my first time joining in, but I'll be back to share more.   What have you found lately?  Have you even had time to

Thank you so much for hosting this party and making us all feel welcome Linda at your sweet blog Coastal Charm.
Hope you can come back again soon.
Next time you come by I'll have sparkling lemonade for us to sip as the summer heats up.

Tomorrow's the last day to enter my Fourth of July giveaway!  Just click here to enter!
