A Little Peaceful White for a Change

You know if you visit here a lot that I LURVE me some color!

But there are a few spots in my home that are serene and white.  (Oooops!  COLOR peeking out! Please disregard it.)
I'm a milkglass addict.  I bought these tumblers at an antique mall a few years ago.  Eventually I found the matching pitcher at an antique show (at a price I was willing to pay).  I'm not sure if they are the same vintage.  The cups/glasses are not as opaque as the pitcher.

For now they live on top of my refrigerator, but they are wanderers and they travel all over the house.

Thought I'd show off some of my whites over at Faded Charm for the first time.
Thanks for buzzing in today.  If you can stay awhile I'll make you some raspberry lemonade and I'll even let you drink from my milkglass tumblers.  :)

  5. The milk glass is pretty. No one seems to be interested in it around here so it's usually pretty cheap.

  7. Your milk glass is beautiful. It has such a feminine, old-fashioned charm. I remember my mother having some when I was a little girl. Hmmm... I'll have to ask her what happened to it!

  15. I saw tons of milk glass when thrifing and antiquing this summer in the States.

Loved your previous post about tuna. My kids think I am crazy for posting about Ramadan food today. We do tuna over here with a little bit of Hellman's, lemon juice and lots of black pepper, then roll it up in a piece of pita bread. A Sri Lankan lady I worked with at a nursery school here made it for me one time like that and now it's the only way I make it. :)

Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

  17. Color peeking out is quite okay since it contained 'cherries' so my well trained eyes spied. ;-)
Some raspberry lemonade sounds delightful, too! Thanks for sharing with us.

  18. I'm shocked! No not really, it does go well with the bright whites in your more colorful patterns.

You must be feeling better. I need to catch up!

  19. I may be at the beach at our FR, but I just took a minute away from cooking din-din for 17 to read about your milk glass. I do not a have a single piece of it, but love to drink from it when I visit friends. REALLY like the hidden cherries in the background. Daughter and her family leave tomorrow...so sad....and the rest of us + 2 family friends leave for home on Sat. Then I will get back to being a good blogger. Miss you.....
