We Have Some Sad News

My dear bloggy friends,

My husband's brother passed away Tuesday morning.

He has been ill for a long time and I know he is not in pain now, but we still hate to lose him.

He was a marvelous guitar player and we would all have the best sing-a-longs with him and the entire family.  He was a wonderful uncle to Baby Bee and a good friend to me.  I know my husband looked up to him and felt very close to him.  He is ten years older than my husband (who is the baby in the family) and he lived at home with my Worker Bee the longest.  He was a powerful influence on my husband.  He loved his family and his brothers.  He loved God and he loved his church and he loved to play music in his church band.  He loved fishing too.  He leaves behind his wife, his son, and his daughter.  He also leaves behind an extended family that loved him very much.

The tears are falling as I write this because how do you show how much you loved and appreciated someone?  How can I show you the expressions on his face that would always crack me up?  How can you see the joy that radiated from him when he was playing the guitar and the boys were all singing together?

I can't I guess, but I can let you know a little about him and let you know how much we will miss him.

Thank you for stopping by.

  35. Dear Sweet Bee,
I am very sorry over your Sweet Brother (in law) stepping over into the arms of our Loving Saviour, Jesus Christ.
It is sooo very painful for those of us left behind.
You so beautifully expressed the Tribute to him that we can see his face and him entertaining the family through music from his guitar and song of laughter with a family that loved/loves him and there will always be a place at the table for him.
I am praying for you, your husband, and family.
    Sweet Hugs my friend
You are surrounded by friends who wish we could spare you of those tears.

  39. So sorry for your loss...it sounds like he was a wonderful man who made a difference in the lives of those around him...I am sure he is reaping many rewards around God's throne....even when we know where our loved ones are and who's almighty presence they are in...it is still so very hard to say goodbye and not feel that sting of a great loss of love and companionship....I am praying all who grieve this loved one will be comforted and granted much peace in the name of Jesus....blessings

  45. The price for being human is to suffer when we loose someone we love. I don't think we ever get over it, sadly we just learn to live without them. I like to think that loved ones are standing at Heaven's gate waiting for us, and we will all be together again without pain and suffering. God Bless You during this time.

  50. Dear Sweet Bee,
Your words are so warm about your brother in law. We have a poem here that goes a little bit like this: tell it to the wind, tell it to the mountains, but no one will know how much we loved you. And this is the case with your brother in law, no one will know how much you all loved him. But he will stay part of you forever, his life touched yours in a wonderful way. The dialogue has stopped, but he will be there - you will notice this in time.
The utter silence will be so difficult. Give Worker Bee a big hug from me.
Stay close and together, all you Bees overthere.
    Love,
    Jacoba

  52. Dearest Friend,
I truly know this is a bitter-sweet time having so many family members to have gone on before me to Heaven. But, that's the wonderful thing - knowing that one day our faith is turned to sight - I envision those I love in Jesus' presence and a continuous smile! I truly miss those I love - wish I could talk to them, hug them - hear them say my name - but that will happen some day soon. Since, I have dug my feet deep into my faith and determined to make my life count for Jesus - he has kept me singing (well in my heart - don't have a good voice :) )
My youngest daughter plays the guitar and I know the joy and fellowship listening to her and hearing she and my husband sing-along - one day we won't have to say good-bye and we all will sing!
Wish I could hug you all - but, will ask the LORD to do it for me!
    God Bless,
    Kathy
