From Stump to Crazy Quiltish Table

For those of you that visit my blog often I've been talking about this project for quite a while -

and now -

reveal......
All those broken dishes and stumps from our tree removal have turned into a funky little side table in our kitchen garden.

It was a fun project and easy to do, but I have a lot to learn.  I think a pair of tile nippers might have helped a little and boy did I put on way too much grout.
I had the perfect pillow to use on the bench thanks to Amy at Into Vintage.
And the kitchen garden is nearly completely planted.

I'll be linking up today
I hope you can see some of the other amazing projects and transformations at both these blog parties.

And thank you for stopping by!  Your visits are always such a treat!

  3. I LOVE THAT TABLE YOU MADE. What is most impressive is the fact that you recycled something that most people would of dug up and thrown away. Good for you!!!!!

  7. What a clever idea! I wish I had seen that before we had all of our stumps ground (very expensive, and a major hole in the lawn!) We have lost so may white birch trees, and this would have been perfect. Unfortunately, we have another lovely birch that appears to be dying, so I will definitely keep this in mind should we lose it completely.

  25. What an incredible stump table and a great idea! Breakage is always going to happen. You have came up with a great way to put the broken pieces to work and salvage stumps as well. :) I really, really like it and will now be on the lookout for different size stumps...once we move, of course. :)
