Things Are Under Construction

Got a few projects we're working on here at Sweet Bee Cottage....
Baby Bee had fun smashing broken dishes.
You might remember I mentioned I wanted to make a mosaic table out of some of the stumps left from the two liquidambars.

Well here it is - uh - sort of -
It's still not grouted.
Time and weather have not cooperated together to finish this project.  But clear skies are projected for this weekend and Worker Bee and Baby Bee are going to a baseball game so I bet I can get this baby done (especially if I make a nice little iced latte to keep me going). I'll show you again when it's all done.

So what are you working on?  Anything under construction?
Would an iced latte motivate you to finish a job?  I'd be happy to send one if I could.

Have a great weekend!

  7. what a fun idea to use the stumps!! Love the mosaic tile!! A couple of years ago my daughter took an old bedside table that a neighbor was throwing out, and she covered it in paint and decoupaged paper with mosaic tile on both sides. She had so much fun with that project!! When she was home for Easter, she decided it was time to take the little table back to college with her. So it is gone now. I had grown so used to it being here. So representative of the artsy person she is.

  8. That table is going to be so pretty when you're done, Janelle! I like the layout of the shards, especially the little pops of red!
Nothing under construction here. Just trying to finish painting the porch railing. Now I need to paint the front door too. Isn't it funny how little projects always seem to snowball into lots more work?!
    Have a great weekend!

  12. No, nothing going on here. Now I'm thinking I should have gotten that mosaic-topped kitchen stool at the antique mall the other day. Fifteen dollars! Should have grabbed it.
