Welcome in to Sweet Bee Cottage

Why Sue, I'm so glad you made it all the way out to California to see me and my little cottage.  You brought some friends?  Why how delightful!
Oh do come in!
Oh this little quilt?  Why my Worker Bee's dear sweet auntie made this for us.  She knew how much we loved prints from the 30s and 40s and made it out of reproduction feedsacks.
Oh you want to know about this little shelf?  Each cubby holds our keys, sunglasses, and "junque."
Why are there three pears?
Why there are three of us in our little Sweet Bee family.
Oh this rug?  You like it Sue?  I thought you might.

You know I got it on ebay.  Why just the other day I found a matching pillow.  I'm afraid it got too expensive for me to keep on bidding on it though.

Well Sue and all of you other darling Rednesday participants, I am so glad you stopped by for a little visit.  I love to see your rosy cheeks.  Don't forget to stop by and see all the reds at It's a Very Cherry World

Umm - Worker Bee thinks this post might have been over the top, but I still had fun.
Write your own blog Worker Bee!
Be sure to come back soon.
I'm feeling a giveaway coming on!

And I'm pretty excited about that sweet quilt. I had no idea that you could buy repro feedsack material! Wonderful reds today, especially that rug. What an amazing Ebay find!

  20. Oh Sweet Bee you are lucky I wasn't present on the bidding for that rug with cherries. Sue isn't the only one who loves cherries! And why is it that anything with cherries goes up to drastic amounts of money? I just don't understand why anything red that is vintage or antique for that matter is so expensive. Your home is lovely and thank you for inviting us in!

  21. I love your post today. Why I felt like I was there in person for a visit. What a lovely hostess you are. I didn't have anything red today myself to share, but it is fun to see what everyone else is doing. Have a good day. I am back to work on my Bridal Shower.

  32. So glad you emailed a reply leading to your red door. LOVE IT!! Now I'm really jealous. But wait, those three pears are to die for. So cute all nestled up together standing proud just like a family should. You know I'm going to have to come up with my own version. Maybe I'll use four apples or, wait, something more tropical since we live in Florida. How about four pineapples? Those are going to be hard to find though. Okay, green apples across my mantle. Yes, I have a mantle in Florida. Not a real fireplace, just a mantle. =D

I'm just having too much fun as usual on Rednesday. Hope to visit again soon. Blessings!
