More Junior Table Settings from the County Fair

Things have suddenly become quite a bit more busy here at Sweet Bee Cottage and I can't wait to tell you why, but in the meantime, I would love to show you some more table settings from the kids at the Big County Fair.

This is Reader Bee's, my niece's, table setting.  She whipped up a cute little beach theme.  Her napkin rings and menu board are super adorable.  She is another crafty bee!
Here's another simple but pretty setting.  If I remember correctly this had a casual Christmas theme.

Love the dishes at this setting - such pretty colors.
Such a sweet little tea party setting - I love how elegant this setting is.
A King's Medieval Feast was the theme for this table.  Love the fleur de lis.  Does it look a bit Game of Thrones to you?
I have a confession.  I have a thing for turkey dishes.  They serve no other purpose but to be used at Thanksgiving, but they charm me.
(Remember Sweet Bee, you live in a small house and do not have room for every possible dish collection you can think of starting.  Sober up girl!)
Another table setting was for a baby shower.  Such a cute centerpiece and menu here too.
I always love the ones that look like Worker Bee would enjoy it too.
(Yeah, I don't think he would be too thrilled with the sweet tea table.)
And here is the Best of Show!  Didn't they do a great job combining all the elements?  Great menu board, great centerpiece, love that mug and all the dishes.
This one was my personal favorite (except for Baby Bee's and Reader Bee's).  Such a cute and creative centerpiece.  Can you tell it's a Mad Tea Party theme?
And I wish I could tell you that I can remember what this sunny table setting was for, but no matter, because it is so cute.
I think the little bow on the menu frame (made from the tablecloth material) is so adorable on this picnic setting.  The jeans placemat is super cute too.
And back to another beachy table to wrap it up.  Funny how similar it is to Reader Bee's.  We sure do love the beach here in Central California!
And finally, my very favorite.....Baby Bee's!  You can read more about it here
Thanks for buzzing along with me!
I'll give you a hint about my big news......do you know who Imogene, Leroy, Gladys, Ralph, Claude, and Ollie are?

Cherry Love from Reader Bee

My niece Reader Bee (she's about a year and half older than Baby Bee) is a bee after my own heart.  She loves to read, she loves to craft, and she loves to redecorate.

Well that sweet Reader Bee made me something I know will delight all you Rednesday bloggers!

What could that possibly be in that milk glass?
I see green.......
I see red......
 Why, it's a cherry!
A cherry that tells me that I am loved.......
I love you too Reader Bee!
Thank you Reader Bee for my adorable cherry!
Thank you so much for buzzing by on this cheery day!

And Now for Kids' Tablescapes from the Big County Fair

Reader Bee (my niece) is following in her auntie's footsteps!  She entered the Big County Fair this year too in the table setting category!  Her table was in the Junior Exhibits and these exhibitors only need one plate for their table settings.  I thought you might enjoy seeing some of my future competitors!
Here is Reader Bee's!  She has a picnic theme!
(For you eagle-eyed readers, she is using my dishes, my glasses, and my flatware.)
She earned first place!
I like that they don't compete against each other, they just earn first place if they meet certain criteria.
Now Baby Bee wants to enter the fair for table settings too.
Valentine's Day!
 Christmas!
 A Chinese tea!
 Mary Engelbreit!
And guess what?  I know this competitor!  She is a former student at my school!  And her mom loves Mary Engelbreit so I bet she borrowed these from her mom!  I was delighted to see her work!
 Love the pumpkin centerpiece here!
 Easter!
Now this was a boy!  I love that!  You go Duck Hunter Boy!
Best of Show!  This might be the fair theme which was "A Jungle of Fun."
This one also earned Best of Show.  I think they might have been honoring 4H, but it could have been for St. Patrick's Day.
I think the plate and bowl were hand-painted.  I love the little napkin bundle.
I have to say I really liked this one too (but not as much as Reader Bee's).  They made those cute little ants.
 Another jungle theme!
 Lord of the Rings!
And finally another summer picnic!

Wasn't that fun?  I just love the creativity these kids show.
I have a few more pictures for another post on the Big County Fair.
Hope you aren't tired of it yet!

Thanks for buzzing by!

And of course, I just have to link up to

Reader Bee's Birthday

Let me introduce you again to my niece - Reader Bee!

Reader Bee recently celebrated her 11th birthday and she had a carnival theme.  Reader Bee and I love to get crafty and creative together so she came over and we worked on a few little projects to make the party fun and festive.

Yumm.....food!

She had a cupcake walk!  So fun!

Oooo....more food!

Games!  She borrowed a bunch of our lawn games - ladder ball, beanbag toss, and our spoon & egg race.

I painted faces!  I have never done it before and it was fun!  I painted hearts, cherries, rainbows, butterflies, and ladybugs to name a few.

Wood Bee is a math teacher so I painted pi on his face.  He had the square root of 2 on the other cheek.

Don't the girls look like they are having fun?

And here's my Reader Bee!  She wanted a crown and an 11 painted on her face.
Happy Birthday Reader Bee!  Your auntie loves you!
(She reads my blog sometimes.)

Reader Bee and I should probably go into business together creating kids birthday parties.  We always have fun coming up with party ideas and decorating for them.

Thanks for buzzin' in!

Getting Ready for Reader Bee's Birthday

Reader Bee, my niece, is turning 11 in about 10 days.  She is a very creative girl and she typically decides on the theme of all her parties.
This year she is having a carnival theme.  She is borrowing some of our lawn games and has a cupcake walk planned.  She has other activities in mind too.  (I might be drafted for face painting.)
Reader Bee and I enjoy crafting together - a lot!  So she came over today and we made ice cream cone wraps for her kid party and her adult/family party.
You might remember I made these for the Fourth of July.  Reader Bee really liked this idea so we just printed the pattern from Martha and used our own scrapbook paper to make the wraps.
(Be careful you don't get lost in the ice cream cone wrapper forest.  Just follow the scent of chocolate and you'll be safe.)

She is a girl after my own crafty heart!
In the meantime, another creative girl devised a way to carry both her babies at once and keep her hands free.....
I knew all those trendy scarves would prove to be practical.

I'll be joining the party over at
for
Anything Related Tuesdays.

Hope you can join the party and see all the great projects.  Rebekah and Bridgette always put together a great event!

Thanks for buzzing by today!
