Totally Random Reds

But aren't those the best?

Red heart from Amy at Into Vintage.  She always included a little bonus in with her pillows.  Too bad you can't smell this.  I've had it for a few years and it still smells like heavenly lavender.  This little cutie lives on a lamp I have in my kitchen.
This is GINORMOUS red ricrac that I glued onto this lampshade I covered with yellow gingham.  I actually made two of these lampshades to go with a pair of matching floor lamps I have.  These statuesque beauties both live in my living room - one next to each denim loveseat.
(Don't you just love that ginormous can now be found in the Merriam-Webster dictionary? New words are so fun!)
And last, but not least, a truly random shot of red - the potatoes we had for dinner Sunday night along with some pretty yummy pancetta wrapped pork tenderloin.
(I had good intentions of posting about our first barbecue of the season and only got pictures of potatoes.  Isn't that how it goes......)
Well I hope you go have some fun over at Sue's Irish Rednesday at It's a Very Cherry World.
Whew!  My potatoes might qualify as Irish, right?

Happy St. Patty's Day to you and I wish you that from the bottom of my one-sixteenth Irish heart!
(Thanks for that wee bit o' Irish Great Great Granny O'Toole.)

  5. Too funny. I was going to make a comment about potatoes being Irish and then I scrolled down a little further to find you writing the same thing. Happy St. Patrick's Day.

  7. Oh Sweet Bee, I've missed so much lately! The lovely red Linclon plate, your books and wonderfull library, Baby Bee's great projct, and oh those painful Liquid Amber babies. I've tried and tried to talk my husband into using our sunroom for a dinning room and the dinning room for an office/craftroom/library. He's not buying into it though.

I can't believe it's BBQ time already! We love us some little red taters with just about anything!
    Hugs,
    Dawn

  8. How fitting to post potatoes on St. Patty's! 1/16th Irish, huh? My aunt used to tell us that we had "a thimble full" of Irish in us!

  9. Potatoes alway qualify for Irish. My mom who was all Irish had made potatoes every night I think. Red ones are my fav. Cute post. Happy red St. Patty's Day.

  10. I love rickrack, no matter what color or size! The lamp looks great, and so does that bowl of potatoes. I would've enjoyed a picture of the tenderloin, but it probably would have made it difficult for me to get through the day until dinnertime! My husband and I are on a diet, and pork tenderloin is definitely not on the lunch menu for today!
    Happy REDnesday!
