Sweet Rednesday

Here's a little sweetness for Rednesday and Valentine's Day.
This sweet little painting shows one of my favorite flowers - geraniums (or to be more precise pelargoniums).

She still has $1 price tag on her.  I don't know how old she is but she seems to have a vintage look to her.  I know it's not polite to ask her age so I won't.

She needs a new little frame (this one is held together with a wish and stern look) but isn't she sweet?

One more treasure to share....

What would we do without Target?  I know my life wouldn't be as cute without it.

This charming platter is from Target about 3-4 years ago.  Don't you love it's vintage style?  I know I do!  I can't wait to get it out every Valentine's Day.

Happy Rednesday everyone!

May your garden soon be overflowing with flowers as pretty as mine and your mailbox filled with the sweetest vintage valentines.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the other lovely Rednesday participants that Sue so graciously hosts at It's a Very Cherry World.

  1. So cute! You got a bargain for a dollar with the picture and I love the vintage looking platter from Target! Just adorable. I wish I could find one.

  2. Both of your finds are great. Vintage florals seem to be popular and keepers for most, so you don't see them a lot. The plate from Target is sweet. It does remind me of Valentines we had when I was young. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I do like your pelargonium painting ... it almost looks oriental when you see it in the frame.
    Have a Happy REDnesday!

  6. She is so cute. I absolutely love my geranium outside my kitchen window. I have a very black thumb but it does all it can to survive and seems to thrive on my lack of attention. It came here in a pot from our old house, was plunked down wihout much thought as we unpacked 8 years ago, and has busted through the pot to take root right there!

I love Target too. They had some great vintage Christmas decor.

  7. That little painting is so sweet! I've got a couple frames like that, but it's good old duct tape that's holding them together! And you're right about Target. They always have the cutest stuff, and your platter is no exception. It's adorable!
    Happy REDnesday!

  8. Ah, yes, pelargoniums vs. geraniums - I love 'em both! I have a few antique varieties that are my faves.

I love that plate - it's giving me crafting ideas!
