I Have a Confession....

Edited to add:
This just seems a perfect fit for

Hope you don't mind the older post.  Be sure to check out all the other posts at Thrifty Decor Chick on cleaning and organization.

I must confess...

I love to organize things.

I love baskets.

What happens when you put those two things together?

This....

You get a basket filled with green salad fixings!

You also get a basket filled with shredded cheeses, cream cheese, pizza sauce and other delectables.

Another gratuitous basket shot.

Even more gratuitous basket shots.

Okay, Worker Bee was like, "You want to do what?" when I told him I wanted to use baskets for our produce in the fridge, but I think he likes it now.  It makes it so easy to get a salad ready or pull out those little containers that always get lost at the back of the fridge.  Right now, I am sure that the More Creative Friend and the Singing Nun (and their husbands) are rolling their eyes.  But, it works for me and IT LOOKS PRETTY!

Want to know what I put in my produce drawers now?
Drinks!
One drawer has kid friendly drinks - juice boxes, etc.
The other drawer has more adult beverages - Worker Bee's Cutthroat Ale (brought back from Utah - 13 states in 15 days) for example.

What do you use your baskets for?

Do you have a confession?

  1. Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog.
I use baskets to organize my sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, etc. items. You can never have to many baskets.
Your house is lovely decked out for Christmas.

  3. I think you just gave Martha Stewart a run for her money! Your fridge looks fabulous, and I love the idea of using baskets in there! Ours is always in such disarray that I probably should do something like this. I think those pictures of your fridge should be in a book or magazine!

  5. I'm sorry I missed your 11/18 Rednesday post. I was just backtracking through my posts for something and saw that I hadn't read yours yet.

Well, I'm glad I found it, because those Just and Fresh are so darn cute! Are they part of the Kellogg's collection? I think I've only seen the egg cups that say Good Morning - I want one of those!

    Take care,
    Sue

  6. Love your ideas about the baskets in the refrig. I have to ask, are they Longaberger baskets? You gave me a great idea to utilize my Longaberger baskets to organize the refrig. Longaberger also makes plastic protectors for the baskets and the protectors would work well too. They are clear so easier to find what you are looking for inside. Check out my website for more basket ideas to help with organizing. longaberger.com/krisdellostritto
    Thank you,

  8. Kristine,

I tried e-mailing you but it bounced back to me. My baskets are some Martha Stewart ones they used to sell at Kmart. They came with a fabric lining but that seemed kind of icky for the fridge so they are living naked in there! The one good thing is I never let anything rot in them because I don't want them to be ruined! Thanks for stopping by and I enjoyed the Longaberger products on your website.

My email is kdello@charter.net, not sure why it did not go through. Just so you know, Longaberger baskets all have plastic protectors which help protect the basket especially when using with food items. Let me know if I can help in anyway with all your organizing needs with Longaberger products. Thank you for visiting my website. I can always add you to my email list. We have weekly sales that I share via email and have some great deals. Thank you. Kristine

  10. I stopped by from Thrifty Decor Chic and I had to comment and say how awesome this idea is! I am going to pick up some baskets this week and move everything around in my fridge. I hate having drinks fall out when I move things and this seems like such an awesome solution! Thanks for sharing!
